Before rushing out Windows 11, Microsoft should fix this annoying Windows 10 issue

The deception is building that Microsoft will announce on June 24. Windows 11, or something like Windows 10 successor, at an event but before we get too excited, we want the company to solve some outstanding problems in Windows 10 first.

One of the most annoying problems with Windows 10, such as Bleeping Computer points out that, in fact Windows 10 still only gives one option update at a time.

Optional updates are not automatically installed, but they have been modified and new features that should be useful for certain people, but not everyone can have.

However, if you use Windows 10’s Update Tool and select ‘View Optional Updates’, your updates are not available at all.

This may mean you have to install another update to see the one you actually want. In the example of Bleeping Computer, the new Windows 10 21H1 update is given above all other optional updates, and you cannot install other optional updates until you install the Windows 10 21H1 update. We kept checking, and the same thing happened to us.

Bleeping Computer has identified an issue, Microsoft has added an alternative update experience back to Windows 10 2019 to allow you to choose the optional updates you want to install. Looks like this feature isn’t working.

This is frustrating as you need to install other updates to get the updates if you want, it is not very optional.

It makes us a little concerned that Microsoft is turning its attention to Windows 11 before placing the basic problem of Windows 10, or whatever will become known as the ‘next generation of Windows’.
