Captain KL Rahul Smashed Amazing Back 2 Back Century

KL Rahul the captain of Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) smashed an amazing century against Mumbai Indians (MI) at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Sunday, April 24.

KL Rahul is making a sensational run in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 and he is currently just behind Jos Butler in the list of top run scorers in the 15th edition of the tournament. Rahul now has 368 runs in 8 games at an average of 61.33 and a strike rate of 147.79, including two centuries and a fifty.

The Lucknow Super Giants captain has always preferred batting against the Mumbai Indians because of his numbers against Rohit Sharma and company.

The Mumbai Indians, led by Rohit Sharma, decided to bowl first after winning the toss in the 37th match at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Sunday. Coming into the game looking forward to their first win in IPL 2022, Mumbai Indians got an early success as Jaspreet Bumrah removed the dangerous Quinton de Kock in the fourth over of the game.

Although Manish Pandey hung on to the crease for a while before Pollard fell victim, Marcus Stones and Krunal Pandey got out cheaply.

KL Rahul accelerated his innings in the 18th over as he hit three back-to-back boundaries to Joydev Unadkat, entering the 90s before the last over. Jaspreet Bumrah bowled an economic 19th over, giving up just four runs. LSG gave Mumbai Indians a target of 169 runs with 13 runs in the last over.
