Haney vs Diaz Fight Live: Live stream, PPV price, how to watch Free online

Haney vs Diaz Fight Live One week after George Kambosos scored a shocking upset of Teofimo Lopez to win three of the four recognized lightweight world championships, Devin Haney is set to defend the fourth belt against dangerous for and former world champion Joseph Diaz Jr. It’s a dangerous fight for 23-year-old Haney and one that could see the division thrown into further chaos. Haney (26-0, 15 KO) has been outstanding as a professional but his style and skills have made it hard for him to find appropriate opponents in a division loaded with talent. In his most recent outing, Haney was hurt badly late in his most recent fight, getting caught by Jorge Linares. He still managed to survive to the final bell and retained his title in the process. Needing a big opponent, Haney began calling out Diaz when Diaz’s fight with Ryan Garcia fell apart due to a Garcia hand injury.

Haney vs Diaz Fight Live Diaz (32-1-1, 15 KO) is a former IBF super featherweight champion. His lone career defeat came in 2018 when he dropped a decision to Gary Russell Jr. in a fight for the WBC featherweight title. Since that loss, Diaz has gone 6-0-1, including defeating Javier Fortuna in his most recent outing, picking up the WBC interim lightweight title in the process. This card also marks the return of undisputed women’s welterweight champion Jessica McCaskill. The 37-year-old Missouri native is looking to continue her impressive run when she takes on late replacement Kandi Wyatt. McCaskill was expected to take on Victoria Bustos in this spot, but Bustos had issues getting her visa to the U.S. and was forced to withdraw. McCaskill achieved undisputed status when she stunned then champ Cecilia Braekus in 2020 by majority decision then beat her by unanimous decision in the 2021 rematch.

Haney vs Diaz Fight Live Plus, super lightweight Montana Love looks to cap off a tremendous 2021 when he takes on Carlos Diaz. Love is 2-0 with a pair of stoppages so far this year, including an impressive win over former champion Ivan Baranchyk in August. Another win on Saturday could move him closer to a potential title opportunity, especially over someone like Diaz. The Mexican enters with a 29-1 record and 14 knockouts on his resume. He’s won three in a row since his lone pro defeat at the hands of Jose Zepeda.

The action gets underway at 8 p.m. ET on DAZN (subscribe now). The full fight card with odds from Caesars Sportsbook and complete viewing information is listed below.

LAS VEGAS — People in and out of boxing have wanted to see Devin Haney in a significant fight.

That happens on Saturday night from the MGM Grand Garden Arena as Haney puts the WBC lightweight title on the line against former 130-pound titlist and 2012 Olympian, Jo Jo Diaz Jr.

Haney vs Diaz Fight Live Haney (26-0, 15 KOs) is coming off passing the biggest test of his career back in May against former three-division titlist Jorge Linares. The victory didn’t come without adversity. Haney was wobbled by a Linares right hand at the end of the 10th round. Nevertheless, Haney made it through the round and the last two rounds to retain the WBC belt. He was finding tough sledding to get Ryan Garcia, Gervonta Davis, and Teofimo Lopez inside the ring.”Jo Jo Diaz is not someone you can take lightly on paper,” Haney admitted to DAZN News this week.”He has never been stopped. He has one loss against Gary Russell, and it was early in his career. So on paper, he’s not a scrub. Whatever I do on Dec. 4, it should be enough. But I’m expecting to do a lot more than what people think that I’m going to do.”Diaz (32-1-1, 15 KOs) made his 135-pound debut in July. The result was a resounding success, beating a tough Javier Fortuna via unanimous decision. He’d been signed to face Ryan Garcia at the end of November, but Garcia suffered a broken wrist in training and was forced to pull out.

Haney vs Diaz Fight Live Fresh from stunning Teofimo Lopez, George Kambosos Jr is expected to be among the interested observers when WBC champion Devin Haney looks to take another step towards a lightweight unification showdown against Joseph Diaz.

Haney vs Diaz Fight Live Kambosos will take his seat ringside, quite possibly with his newly acquired WBA, WBO, and IBF belts on show. In the last 18 months, they have changed hands more quickly than “JoJo’s” flurries of punches which make him one of Haney’s toughest opponents yet. Lopez, of course, took them from Vasiliy Lomachenko before surrendering them again to Kambosos in just his first defense.

It leaves the division looking uncertain and unconvincing, but a few rungs down sit Haney – Ring’s No 3 – and Diaz, ranked No 5. This was by no means a formality, as Eddie Hearn was keen for Haney to fight Gervonta Davis; fortunately, trying to organize a deal outside of the Mayweather Promotions banner is notoriously difficult. Probably no bad thing for Haney, at least at this stage.

Haney vs Diaz Fight Live When is Amir Khan vs Kell Brook? Date, time, TV, and everything else we know as the 2022 grudge match is confirmed

Whichever way you look at it though, it means Haney is no longer preparing for the fight he was expecting next – so long as he beats southpaw Diaz, whose record stands at 32-1-1 (15 KOs). Where Lopez came unstuck was in allowing his emotions to get the better of him and at just 23, “The Dream” can’t afford to make the same mistake.

Diaz showed what he’s capable of against Javier Fortuna, and Gary Russell is still the only man to beat him. He has arguably never fought an opponent of this skillset and there is a danger he will walk into Haney’s powerful jabs if he gets up too close.

Yet to listen to Haney, there has always been a sense that he covets the bigger names. He still wants a dethroned Lomachenko and after such a convincing win over Jorge Linares last time out, he would have liked to be mixing it a little higher sooner.

Haney vs Diaz details

Venue: MGM Grand Garden Arena, Las Vegas
Fight time: Ring walks for the main event are expected around 3 am GMT
TV/live stream: In the UK, the fight is available to stream on DAZN – subscriptions cost £7.99 a month
Undercard highlights: There’s only one other title fight on the card and that’s a huge unification battle between Jessica McCaskill and Victoria Bustos for the WBA, WBO, WBC, and IBF women’s welterweight titles (Bustos is the challenger)
I predict: Haney to stop Diaz rounds 8-10

Arthur vs Yarde

Anthony Yarde does not believe he lost his last fight with Lyndon Arthur; then again, where the gulf between the two clearer, it would render Saturday’s rematch a much less interesting showing.

Haney vs Diaz Fight Live

In truth, Arthur outboxed Yarde for much of their first bout, never quite unlocking enough power to finish him off. He has since overcome Davide Faraci, though Yarde has looked formidable himself with a first-round knockout of Alex Theran – which left his record at 20 knockouts from his 21 wins. It feels as if they both have a little way to go before rumbling in the world title scene, even if Arthur believes a challenge will be just around the corner.

I predict: A close fight but Yarde to edge it on points

Haney vs Diaz Fight Live Since a long-awaited grudge match between Amir Khan and Kell Brook was confirmed on Monday, the finer details have started to emerge – even if many feel this fight comes a decade too late. The Sheffield fighter vowed to “knock Khan spark out” on 19 February 2022 in Manchester, with the fight taking place at 149lbs – that’s heavier than Khan would have liked, but at least he has been willing to concede to make it happen.

Both have been coy on the purse, but Khan believes he’s taking “the lion’s share”
