Irish health bosses warn of syphilis outbreak as reported from Jan to April The Irish health authorities initially warned of a national outbreak of contagious cupping.

Cup is a sexually transmitted infection (STI) caused by a type of bacteria that, if left untreated, can cause serious health problems for both men and women.

According to the Health Control Center (HPSC), a national outbreak of contagious cup (EIS) was originally reported and has been investigated in Ireland since June 2021.

Irish health bosses Many STI clinics and services have sought to reduce capacity at the onset of the Covid-1ics epidemic, and the HPSC has warned that the resulting EIS may be overwhelming.

Cup disease was on the rise before the epidemic and HPSC was identified as a concern. In 2020, the number of cases of Irish coronavirus lock-in decreased slightly, but now the number is increasing again.

Although the data for 2021 are incomplete, according to HPSC, the number of EIS cases has exceeded the number reported in 2019 and previous years.

In 2020, 562 EIS cases were recorded, a significant decrease from the 745 reported in 2019, even though it was related to the first wave of the epidemic.

Between 1 January 2021 and 30 April 2021, there have been 242 cases.

Ninety-one percent of cases were reported in men, but the number increased in women and various infections.
