Kane Brown Promises To Be The Best Dad For Daughter Kingsley In Heartfelt Tribute On Tour

During his Worldwide Beautiful tour, Kane Brown gave a heartfelt tribute, as he vows to be the best Dad he can be for his near 2-year-old daughter, Kingsley. The country superstar performed “For My Daughter,” a moving track that honors of he and his wife Katelyn’s precious daughter.

“They say dads are supposed to shape you, in a way I guess mine did / I knew what I wouldn’t do if I ever had a kid / They say history repeats itself / Well, I guess that’s up to me / Yeah, I grew up without a dad / I’m gonna be the best one I can be,” Brown sings in the chorus.

As he states in his song, Brown didn’t have a father around when he was growing up. Because of that, he wants to do everything he can to be there for his daughter and any future children that he and Katelyn might have together.

The montage being shown behind Brown during this performance started off with footage that was released just days after Kingsley’s birth in October 2019. We see the first day Brown laid eyes on his beautiful baby girl and fell in love.

While he sat on stage, Brown asked the crowd in front of him, “How many people out here grew up without a father?”

“I was one of em. My dad’s been looked up since ‘96, and he’s still locked up today. Somehow he watches me on CMT and every music award show there is, but I’m like, dude you’re in prison, how are you watching me on TV?”

“It was hard for me, man, I knew everything not to do just from my dad not being there,” he added. “I was raised by all females, my mom, my aunt, my Nana, who’s the love of my life, she raised me. She used to be a sheriff and a detective, that was my girl, man. Anyway, I just had to write a song. I didn’t know if I was having a boy or a girl, I just knew I was going to be the best damn dad that I could be. So this goes out to all the daddies out there trying to do everything for their kids. I love you guys, and it’s awesome to have dads in your life, so this is called “For My Daughter.”

He continues his performance as footage of Kingsley and her loving parents slide by. We see their daughter growing up, always full of smiles in her dad’s arms. One thing is for sure, that little girl will grow up surrounded by love, because Brown continues to strive to always be there for her and to be “the best dad” he can be.

Brown recently shared adorable photos of his daughter finally getting to experience life on the road with her dad. We see several black and white photos showing Kingsley inside the venue and on the tour bus. The caption read, “My angel got to come out this week.”

Additionally, Brown will hit the road on his massive 35-date ‘Blessed & Free Tour’ this fall. The tour is set to kick off on October 1 in Sacramento and will visit all 29 NBA basketball arenas throughout 2021 and 2022, marking the first country artist in history to headline every NBA basketball arena on a single tour.
