Picking the best football club in the world is an almost impossible task.

Do you judge a team based on the number of trophies they have accrued throughout the history of the beautiful game, or do you focus on their volume of supporters worldwide?

Of course, there is a select group of teams with which people routinely pick their choice for the best club on the planet from.

The likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona, Manchester United, Liverpool and others within the realms of Europe’s elite will always be challenging for the coveted number one position.

So what happens when you ask a plethora of football fans to vote for the best football team on the planet?

There are some very questionable inclusions in the top 25, most notably Crystal Palace, Estudiantes and Werder Bremen.

Let’s also not pretend we didn’t see Arsenal (6th) ahead of Champions League holders and new Premier League champions Liverpool (8th).

However, despite some questionable inclusions lower down the list, the top three is pretty hard to dispute.

Barcelona, Real Madrid and United have enormous fan bases throughout the world, have won a ridiculous amount of trophies and consistently attract the best players on the planet.

Regardless of whether you like the aforementioned trio as a supporter, you cannot deny that every footballer grows up dreaming of wanting to wear one of their famous shirts.

The same can also be said for the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal, Juventus and Bayern Munich, but just not quite on the same level as the top dogs.
