Cristiano Ronaldo and his Mrs. Georgina Rodriguez have announced that one of their newborn twins has tragically died.
“It is with our deepest sadness we have to announce that our baby boy has passed away. It is the greatest pain that any parents can feel,” the soccer star and his partner, Georgina Rodríguez, announced in a joint statement on social media.
“Only the birth of our baby girl gives us the strength to live this moment with some hope and happiness,” they continued, confirming that their daughter survived.
The couple ended their message by thanking the doctors and nurses who helped them during their stay at the hospital and sadly asked for privacy.
“Our baby boy, you are our angel,” they concluded.

The couple has been dating since 2016 when they met at a Gucci store where Rodriguez worked as a sales assistant.
“Days later we saw each other again at another brand’s event,” she recalled to Italy’s Elle magazine. “It was then that we could talk in a relaxed atmosphere, outside of my work environment. It was love at first sight for both.”
Ronaldo and Mrs. Rodriguez have been dating since 2016 and first met at a Gucci store in Madrid where he worked as a sales assistant.
In response to the news, teammate Marcus Rashford wrote: “Thoughts are with you and brother Georgina. I’m sorry.”
Former England striker Gary Lineker, who hosted the day’s match, said: “This is very sad news. My sincere condolences to you and your family.”
Ronaldo and Mrs. Rodriguez shared their daughter Alana together while Ronaldo’s son Cristiano Jr. and twins Eva and Met were also present.
In 2015, the footballer said that being a parent was an “incredible” experience.
“It’s unbelievable. I never imagined my life would change so much,” he told the Spanish news agency EFE.
