The shooting was early Saturday morning in the early 6th street entertainment district mass of Austin, Texas. Police said 13 people were injured and said the suspected shooter was not in custody.
The two injured were in critical condition, Interim Austin Police Chief Joseph Chacon said.
The shooting happened around 1:30 p.m. Bill himself as the live music capital that is along 6th Street, which has many bars, restaurants and nightclubs in town. The car traffic on the road was barricaded to the bar.
There were no specific details on what happened or what caused the shooting.
“Our officers responded very quickly,” Chacon said. “They were able to immediately start life-saving measures for many of these patients, including the Tourniquets app; the Chest Seal app.”
