Will Smith punching comedian-actor Chris Rock is the only incident fans remember from the Oscars ceremony. Will Smith Slapped Chris Rock in Oscar’s Awards Ceremony 2022 after telling a joke about Smith’s wife. And he also apologises to Chris Rock after Oscars slap.
In a post on Instagram on Monday afternoon, Smith called his behavior “unacceptable and inexcusable.”
“Jokes at my expense are a part of the job, but a joke about Jada’s medical condition was too much for me to bear and I reacted emotionally,” he wrote. “I would like to publicly apologize to you, Chris. I was out of line and I was wrong. I am embarrassed and my actions were not indicative of the man I want to be. There is no place for violence in a world of love and kindness.”

Actor Will Smith punched comedian-actor Chris Rock in the only incident that fans remember from the Oscars. It has resonated around the world and divided the Internet. But now, some users on Twitter have found an old tweet that predicted a feud between Smith and Rock.
The tweet, posted by a user Jason, is from the 2016 Oscars hosted by Rock. Jada Pinkett-Smith, wife of comedian Will Smith, stabbed to avoid the show.
On Monday, he posted a YouTube link as a “reference” to his 2016 tweet, where Rock was heard mocking Jada Pinkett-Smith at the 2016 Oscars.
Pinkett-Smith boycotted the Oscars that year for lack of variety among nominees. But Rock claims he was not invited.
In response, Pinkett Smith said she wanted to “keep it going” out of a joke.
Twitter users are happy to find the tweet and are posting some funny comments.
One user tweeted, “Missing right now is a Simpson clip that was predicted earlier this year.” “Dude predicted 6 years ago,” another user posted.
“If the prediction is delayed, the prediction is not denied,” said one Twitter user.
The academy has launched an official review of the incident involving Rock and Smith, who won the Best Actor award on Sunday night.
Smith apologized to Rock in a note posted on his Instagram handle. “I want to publicly apologize to you, Chris. I was out of bounds and I was wrong. I’m embarrassed and my actions don’t indicate who I want to be. There is no place for violence in the world of love. And kindness,” Smith wrote.
